Proposal Writing Workshop for Clinical Researchers

On 10 June 2020, the Synapsis Foundation organized an online workshop for clinical researchers who intended to improve their skills in drafting project proposals. Fiveteen participants benefited from the experiences of successful grant authors and gain insights into the expectations of reviewers and funding agencies. The participants particularly appreciated the one-on-one sessions to discuss their own research ideas with the experts.

«It was a great experience and I have learned a few more important things about grant applications.» explained a participant.

The Synapsis Foundation would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the workshop. We also thank the participants for their excellent feedback.

Synapsis Forum 2019

For the second time, more than 50 scientists supported by the Synapsis Foundation met at the Synapsis Forum in Gerzensee on 25 and 26 November 2019 for networking and knowledge exchange.

Selected speakers presented their projects supported by the Synapsis Foundation and discussed current research questions in the field of Alzheimer's disease. During the poster session in the evening of the first day, young researchers presented their work to each other. Highlights of the event were the keynote speeches by Prof. Philip Scheltens, member of the Scientific Advisory Board since 2019, and Dr. Ansgar Felbecker, President of the Swiss Memory Clinics. Both speakers provided valuable insights into the clinical aspects of Alzheimer's research and created awareness for their work.

The event was well received by the growing community of researchers supported by the Synapsis Foundation. The scientists expressed their gratitude for the support of their research activities by the Synapsis Foundation and addressed their thanks to all donors.
